Greetings LAEN Friends and Guests,

It is the beginning of a new ABWA year and what an exciting time to be your new LAEN President. ABWA is celebrating 60 years and LAEN just turned four years old! The joint board has been busy transitioning everyone to their new positions.  I want to extend a big Thank You to our board members that will be stepping down, Judy Frantz, Lisa Horst, and Cindy York.  You will be greatly missed. Your enthusiasm is contagious and you brought so much to our board that you will be hard to replace.  I can't thank you enough for helping our current board to transition into their new positions.  We should have smooth sailing!

We need your input!  The new board is busy planning our educational topics for next year and we want you to tell us what you need to help you succeed both professionally and personally.  We will be asking you to fill out a brief survey and return it to get an idea of what is important for you to reach your career goals. When you receive it, please take a moment to answer the questions so we are best able to provide the most relevant topics to our members.

Did you WIN yet?  If you haven't had a chance to register for WIN (Women's Instructional Network) and check out ABWA's new website, I encourage you to do that today!  There is a lot of great information about ABWA and LAEN's Best Practices are posted in our library.  When you have time, visit ABWA members-only section at www.abwa.org and check out the new enhancements to WIN.  The endless benefits the Women's Instructional Network offers are continually evolving and we want you to be the first to see all of the amazing new things in the next generation of WIN!
